This full time seasonal employment requires college degree or CEGEP diploma with 1-2 years of experience in the field.  The key duties of vegetable grower has to perform daily farm task related to vegetable farming. The role is responsible for supervising the team of 3-4 persons in organic farming. Les Jardins d’En Haut deal with a variety of vegetable farming including bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, garlic, herbs, onions, tomatoes, zucchinis, and greenhouse vegetables. The company is looking for efficient, talented, experienced, and reliable individuals to work onsite and outdoor at rural areas in wet, hot, noisy, and dusty environment.

Vegetable Grower Responsibilities

• Assisting in planting and cultivating activities
• Supervise greenhouse cleaning activities.
• Harvesting seedlings
• Implementing sustainable gardening techniques like permaculture practices.
• Mixing of fertilizers.
• Maintaining farm machinery, equipment and tools.
• Keeping financial and production record.
• Recruiting, hiring and supervising staff.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence with clean history.
• College degree or CEGEP diploma.,
• 1-2 year of experience in same area.
• Good command over French language.
• Physically strong to perform farming tasks.
• Organized, reliable, and team player.
