As a fixed term Machine Operative will be responsible for programming and machining complex components from one off to small batch work on various material types.

Machine Operator Responsibilities

Operating machine and understanding the control functions.
Editing programmes for minor changes.
Machining of parts to high tolerance and standard.
Checking the quality of machine parts and recording it per working instruction.
Loading and uploading of production parts.
Forward planning of daily tasks and tools required to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow.
Following safety guidelines.
General cleaning of machine and maintaining working area.

Requirements

Prior experience of machine workshop.
Strong attention to detail.
Good knowledge of geometric tolerances and symbols.
Be flexible proactive demonstrate initiative and teamwork.
Flexible to work shift and to rotate between different machines.
