IOM, UN Migration has announced grade 2 driver job in Doha, Qatar. The company is looking for experienced, professional, and hardworking individal to join them for this fixed term contract based employment. The initial duration of the role is for one year with possibility of extention, primary responsibilities of role is to provide safe day to day transport services. The driver have to follow company’s policies and local traffic and transport laws for safe and smooth daily operations.
IOM UN Migration is a reputed organization of the United Nations as well as leading UN agency in the field of migration, they work with government semi and non government partners. IOM is committed to promote humane and orderly migration services and advice to governments and migrants.
Grade 2 Driver Responsibilities
Working with IOM as a driver you are responsible for :
- Driving assigned IOM office vehicles
- Managing daily maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Checking for minor repairs and ensure the clealiness of the vehicle.
- Keeping the records of spare parts for vehicle and conducting monthly inventory for the parts.
- Finding the most safe and efficient route to the destination.
- Maintaining daily log and a monthly report including mileage, fuel consumption.
- Collecting and delivering mail, documents, parcels, and other communications items from and to office to the post, airport, government and other UN agencies.
- Assisting the IOM office staff in performing simple tasks duties.
Requirements
- High school certificate with 2 years of experience or bachelors degree from recognized institute.
- Valid Qatari driving licence with clean history.
- Excellent grip on Qatar’s traffic and trasports laws.
- Experience of driving variety of vehicles.
- Basic knowledge of radio,, telephone, internet and other applications.
- Able to communicate well both witten and oral in English.
