Growy a vertical farm in Singapore is looking fpr farm workers to join them and grow leafy greens in sustainable way. The company is located in Changi Logistics center; they are expert in using variety of techniques and technology to maximize crop yield and minimize resource waste. The company is supplying more than 30 different products to hotels and restarants across Singapore. Farm worker job duties include day to day operations of vertical farm from seedling to harvesting. The key responsibilities also include assisting automated machinery, delivering fresh and high quality products.
Farm Workers Responsibilities
As a farm staff you are responsible for:
- Preparing nutrient solutions.
- Daily seedling, harvesting, and packaging tasks.
- Operating automated systems ( Sedling machine, sorting machines, packaging machines).
- Monitoring plant health.
- Maintenance of farm tools and equipment and reporting any damage to supervisor.
- Collaborate with team member for smooth farm operations.
- Following safety procedure and policies to ensure safe work place.
- Comply food safety standardsincluding hygiene practices.
Requirements
- Diploma in Horticulture, Agrriculture or relevant qualification.
- Basic knowledge of plant science, food safety, as well as pest control.
- Good knowledge of farm equipment and machinery.
- Previous related experience is not essential but preferred.
- Experience with farming machinery is a plus point.
- Must be able to work on weekends and off days when needed.
- Physically fit to perform manual task.
- Able to lift upto 10 kg of weight.
- Good communication and organized apperance.
