Requirements

You are perfect with:

• Minimum 2 years in retail training, L&D, or senior supervision, or store management.
• Proven ability to teach adults in Pidgin & English (both used daily).
• Hands-on retail experience—knowing what actually works on a busy Saturday.
• Confident creating simple training materials (PowerPoint, handouts, role-plays).
• Strong presentation & facilitation skills—can hold attention of 30 staff at 7 am briefing.
• Analytical—track results, prove training lifts sales or reduces shrinkage.
• Willing to travel between Lae stores and occasionally to other provinces.
• Passport valid 18+ months.

Responsibilities

Your week turns staff performance.

Monday–Friday + occasional Saturday sessions:

• Run new-staff induction programs (2-day intensive).
• Deliver weekly customer-service & sales workshops.
• Coach cashiers on upselling bundles & loyalty cards.
• Train merchandisers on planograms & stock rotation.
• Teach loss-prevention & cash-handling procedures.
• Role-play difficult customer scenarios.
• Assess staff on the floor & give instant feedback.
• Build monthly training calendar with store managers.
• Measure KPIs—mystery shopper scores, conversion rate, average transaction value.
• Update training manuals & videos.
